Dr. Hamzah Mehmood (Dr. Mood) graduated from Rutgers University, where he received his degree in biology. He then obtained his Doctor of Dental Medicine from the University of Kentucky College of Dentistry. He holds memberships with the Indiana Dental Association, American Academy of General Dentistry and American Association of Women Dentists. Dr. Mood has a passion for aesthetic dentistry and is proficient in oral surgery and prosthodontics. His mission in his dental career is based on a quote he lives by, “Giving is a huge part of life and you don’t need to be rich to be charitable. Your happiness is worth more than anything you will ever own. So even a smile can be charity.”
Dr. Mood enjoys traveling and spending time with loved ones, as well as music and attending shows in his free time. He enjoys outdoor recreation, with his favorite being kayaking.

Dr. Todd Thurman
University of Louisville School of Dentistry
Dr. Todd Thurman is originally from Louisville, Kentucky, and currently resides in Florence. He graduated with honors from the University of Louisvill e(U of L) with a Bachelor of Science degree in chemistry and a minor in mathematics. He then earned his Doctor of Dental Medicine degree from U of L School of Dentistry. Dr. Thurman loves dentistry because it allows him to work with his hands and he enjoys the problem-solving skills required to diagnose and treat new cases. He is an active member of the American Dental Association, the Kentucky Dental Association, and the Academy of General Dentistry. In his free time, Dr. Thurman enjoys spending time outdoors, either camping and hiking or spending time on the water at Lake Cumberland. His dad, Dr. Thomas Thurman, is also a dentist with Mortenson Family Dental in Middletown, Kentucky.

Had root canals and temp crowns and everything was great. Dr. Hamza Mahmoud was fantastic, funny personable and very good at what he does. Always hated goingvto the dentist but with a qualified and genuinely nice person, he puts you completely at ease. I found my dentist for life. He’s great. Makes you feel completely at ease. Have seen some ad reviews but it’s strange because I’ve had multiple appts. And I have never seen anyone upset or had appts cancelled or any incompetence from this place and it’s employees. Very competent and very professional. Thanks for the exceptional service.

I recently visited Mortenson Family Dental for a deep cleaning and had an outstanding experience. Despite an upset customer in the waiting area, the staff remained positive and friendly. Loghyn checked me in with warmth, making me feel like we were old friends. Kara, the dental hygienist, was fantastic—her energy and personality made the visit enjoyable. Even after dealing with a rude customer, Stephanie at the front desk maintained a cheerful demeanor. It’s rare to find such genuine people in a business setting. I’d give this experience a 20/10!
P.s a lesson to gain from this is Kindness and professionalism can shine through challenging situations, making a significant impact on customer experiences.
