Dr. Emily Monsma was born in Ashland, Kentucky. She attended the University of Kentucky College of Dentistry and graduated in 2012. To Dr. Emily, dentistry is both an art and a science, and she loves that she can create something that can change someone’s life. She enjoys spending time with her husband, Greg, her sons, Hudson and Jesse, and their dog, Derby. Dr. Emily is excited to be serving patients and building lasting relationships.

Dr. Matthew Mortenson
University of Louisville School of Dentistry
Dr. Matt Mortenson graduated from the University of Louisville School of Dentistry in 2005. Although Louisville is now his permanent home, he was born and raised in the small town of Winnemucca, Nevada. He attended Brigham Young University where he met his wife, Jen. They were married in 1999 and made the trek across country to Kentucky so Matt could attend dental school. He has always admired and been inspired by his uncle, Dr. Wayne Mortenson, and is so happy to be following in his footsteps in dentistry. He has been recognized with the Individual Achievement Award by the prestigious dental organization. Matt and Jen have six young children: Megan, Ben, Zac, Jake, Max and Ava. Needless to say, Matt stays very busy at work and at home, and enjoys spending his spare time with his wife and kids.

I LOVE Mortenson! The 5220 Dixie location. Tracy is great! Matt is great! And there’s a young woman that sits up front (sorry I can’t remember her name) but she is the sweetest. They’ve always taken care of my babies and after losing my son and being unable to sit in the office due to it triggering my emotions, they’ve been phenomenal.
